Squirrels in the house!
This is the next embroidery stretched onto the frame and ready to do.
Time for something a little different. These cute bird boxes work a treat hanging in the houseplants.
In the past I’ve lost a few houseplants… it’s very dark in my house and that’s my excuse!
But these crocheted String of Pearls will live forever. It wasn’t on the original list of things to do, but have added them in. And ticked them off!
It was really quick and easy to make, so now feeling inspired to make another. You might see a crocheted fern plant popping up at some point in the future.
No idea why it took so long to put these cushions together, just kept putting it off until I forgot about them. But now they are done – and it didn’t even take that long either.
Best of all, another job struck off the inventory list.
These wrought iron garden chairs are very pretty, but not exactly comfy. To make them a bit more bearable to sit on, have put together these little cushions. I crocheted the squares years ago and was originally intending to stitch them together to make a throw, but went off the idea and had them lying around for absolutely ages.
The backing fabric is from an assortment of fat quarters given to me by a friend. I made things easy on myself by making them up into slip-covers – like pillow cases. Made the cushion pads myself too!
Job done and another one ticked off the list. Hoorah!
Hello again. Haven’t been here for a while, but I have been busy..
This is the final bit of progress on the Blackthorn cross stitch project. Next stop, the framing shop 🙂
Have had a bit of a break from crafty things but only to catch up with decorating and gardening. Now that’s done, I can get back to more fun things.
Here’s something I ticked off the inventory. It’s a little pouch to keep the dust off my magnifying lens when I’m not using it for embroidery.
It’s just a drawstring bag with rounded corners.
Have you noticed? Things are actually getting ticked off the inventory. There is a loooong way to go, but progress is finally being made.
Here is the latest on the Blackthorn Cross stitch.
A few of the cross stitch card motifs (all right, all of them) that have completed recently..
It’s never too early to start getting ready for Christmas (what did you think it stood for?)
Have made a small start and made a cross stitch motif. Let’s face it, I panned to do them last Christmas, but ran out of time. This year I’m being all sensible and determined about it.
One down, at least six or seven more to go…
